Where do the races start?
The race start at the corner of S. Kellogg St. and E. Simmons St in downtown Galesburg, IL. Below is a map that you can click on for directions:
What time does my race start?
- 7 AM (Half Marathon and 5K)
- 7:05 AM (1-Mile Fun Run)
Where do I pick up my race packet?
You can pick up your race packet pre-race or on race morning:
- 5/31 (Friday) from 12 PM to 6 PM @ Masters - 101 E Main St (2nd floor of First Mid Bank Building). Enter at rear parking lot, take elevator to 2nd floor.
- 6/01 (Saturday) from 10:00 AM to 2 PM @ Masters (see above)
- 6/02 (Sunday – Race Morning) from 6 AM - 6:30 AM @ The Race Site
Where can I park on race morning?
Parking will be available at several city lots and at Knox College (2 East South Street Galesburg, IL 61401). Handicap parking rules still apply. On-street parking is also available.
Can I run with my dog?
We’re sorry, pets aren’t allowed in any of the events.
Can I push my stroller?
Strollers are not allowed in the half-marathon. Strollers are allowed in the 5k and 1 mile events. We request that you line up in the back with walkers if you are pushing a stroller.
What is the time limit for the half-marathon?
The course will re-open to traffic after 3.5 hours.
Can I walk the half-marathon?
Yes! Please see time limit for half marathon.

What kind of food is available after the race?
The finish line will be catered with a variety of drinks, cookies, bagels, bananas, and granola bars.
What is included with my entry fee?
Lots of great stuff including a race t-shirt, special finisher’s medal and a bottle of Dave’s Gator Sauce! Please see each race’s individual page for details: Half Marathon, 5K Run, 1-Mile Fun Run.
Please note, goody bags are guaranteed for those signed up by Wednesday, May 15th. We will make every attempt possible to have enough for everyone, however we can not guarantee goody bags for those signing up after this date.
Don’t forget about the post race party! Post-race party and beer tent at finish line area.
Will there be live music and entertainment on race day?
Absolutely!
- Frank F. Sidney’s Western Bandit Volunteers at the Race party
- FM95 will play pre-recorded music at several locations on the race course
- Local cheerleaders

What organizations benefit from the race?
Organizations benefiting from this year's Run Galesburg Run will be announced soon.
What will be at the aid stations?
Volunteer staffed aid stations will be stocked with water and Gatorade. Each aid station will have a bathroom and a nurse.
How many aid stations are there on the half-marathon course?
There are a total of eight aid stations on the half-marathon course. They are located at mile markers 2.4, 3.8, 4.8, 6.9, 7.7, 9.9, 11, and 12.4 on the course. All aid stations will have water, Gatorade, and a bathroom.
How many aid stations are on the 5k course?
There is one aid station on the 5k course, located at the 12.4 turnaround point. The aid station will have water, Gatorade, a bathroom, and a nurse.
I signed up for the race but I won’t be able to participate. Can I have a refund?
No. We’re sorry but we can’t provide refunds, or transfer your entry fee to another runner/walker. Please make sure to pick up your packet in order to get all the swag!
